Esri NeA and CAPMAS bring to light the 2017 Egypt e-Census

Esri NeA’s team joined hands with CAPMAS to bring to light the 2017 Egypt e-Census, the first ever electronic census to be held in the history of our beloved country. The major project is the biggest of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East and relied on Esri NeA's state of the art, especially tailored, Geo-enabled application used throughout the whole 3-stage-process of counting buildings, population, and establishments in order to deliver impeccable results for Egypt Census 2017. The Esri NeA genius app enabled enumerators to seamlessly download 31,000 maps on 45,000 tablets and most importantly to update these maps on-site offline as well as online. These latter were announced recently during a prominent presidential conference attended by Egyptian President Abd El-Fattah ElSissi where General Abu Bakr Al-Gendy, CAPMAS President expressed the importance of this mega project, highlighting the amount of time, effort, and dedication employed in it from all involved parties, especially Esri NeA who had a huge contribution in executing it and helping the Census results being announced in just 3 months instead of a whole year as the past years.
